What is this MRI sequence for?


AX T2 CISS 3D.

I don't think it's been mentioned before on here. It wasn't done on my other MRI's. It was done in .7 slices it appears.

I will try to post one of the pictures.

Always thank you Bob, :)  I have tried to find images under this sequence but they are difficult to locate on the www.

AX T2 CISS 3D is a SIEMENS MAGNETOM sequence designed for looking at the Cranial Nerves and Brain Stem.  CISS stands for "Constructive Interference Steady State" and it is a simulated T2 MRI sequence.

Most of the time, this is used for CSF Flow studies, Brain Stem exams, etc.
