When good news isn't...

I had so hoped when the urogyno's nurse called today that she would tell me I have another UTI.  I haven't had one in about a year, but was so hopeful my current problems were a result of an infection infection. Such is not the case, so now it really is an official relapse.   So many of you know the disappointment I am speaking of . .. just thought I would share and vent a bit.

best to all ,
L

Hey Lu
I'm thinking of you during this tough time. Darn, bother, bum!
You are always there for all on this forum so it's nice to see the members rally around you for a change. Relapse is the pits but I'm hoping that you can see from all the replies how very special and loved that you are around the forum and no doubt real life and that it lifts you to a better space.

Take care and gentle hugs.

Hang in there Lu -  you are one tough cookie so as you said this too shall pass -  hopefully the insomnia is worth it and the steroids help you feel better!
Tammy is right -  we all do "get it"  When we say things about feeling poorly or being tired on the outside -  people mean well but words like but you look good or you just need sleep -  just don't cut it!

Feel better and let those steroids do there thing!

We seem to be relapsing together this time.  Is the IVSM working for you?  I hope you feel better soon.  This is a good place to vent.  Everyone here "gets it".  Outside, it's tough to really get people to understand.  I hope you are taking very good care of yourself.

(((Hugs,)))

we might need to start a new UP ALL NIGHT club for the folks around here on one form or another of steroids.  This insomnia has been wicked and
I sure hope it quiets soon.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words. This too shall pass. So enough about me, lets get back to you!

I think whining together - especially if someone brought the cheese and crackers - is a very good use of our time.   Thanks everyone - just needed to get that out there. Tomorrow will be better.

Oh Lu- I arm so sorry to hear this
I truly feel your pain as i am still going through a relapse and things right now just s**ck! I went to my neuro yesterday and she was concerned about my declining walking ability. She scheduled me an MRI. After reviewing the MRI she would like to switch me from Copaxone to Tysabri. ( souns familiar, doesn't it?) sorry ,you really didn't need to hear me whine. I truly hope your relapse will end quickly and leave no further damage.
Feel better soon!

(((hugs)))

I forget - Is the reason why you went on the Tysabri because the Copaxone wasn't holding off the relapses as much as it should have been?  I'm sorry that's an official relapse. Not good news at all.

thanks, this is  just very frustrating as all of you know from your own situations.  New MRIs will be done in the next month or so to see where I am at - my neuro said we shouldn't just assume the tysabri isn't working, but do a thorough evaluation.
