I use a cane outside but I don't need to use it indoors. My balance is off due to leg stiffness. I also wear a WalkAide.

I didn't vote because I use all three depending on how I feel when I get out of bed or how fatigued I am and what I need to do that day.

I use a cane, and a scooter part time..I also just got fitted for a foot brace - actually an ankle brace that goes up to just below the knee.

None of the above, but I am finding a good pair of tennis shoes to feel AMAZING these days.

When I have vision or balance problems, I use hiking poles as "Balance poles."  Gideon has gotten pretty good at the "brace" command and pushing me to the wall when I start the step on him.

I use a walking stick due to balance issues, not sure if this would qualify as a cane, but I checked the cane box.

No walking aid even in relapse or flare.

As of right now I have not needed any aids. But, this latest relapse has caused balance problems, so we are starting to figure out about getting a puppy with the goal of training him/her to be a balance dog for me. We are optimistic that we have enough time to start with a puppy and train him/her ourselves rather than needing to have an older and already trained balance dog.

I am going into my 47th year with PPMS and have to use crutches some of the time do to muscle spasms. I may have to use them more or go to a walker because the muscles are making it harder to walk.
