Yes, it can go into remission. I never put my faith in doctors. Even they answer to a higher power.
I think the PA better thank her lucky stars that she got off so easy. I don't care that she didn't see your chart and that your a new patient, she had no right to call you a drug seeker. I suspect she got put in her place after you left. Actually, being a new patient, she should have treated you with even more respect!
I admire the way you handled the visit, and believe me, your calm decorum and organization made her look bad. Actually just showed the Neuro she doesn't belong working with patients.
I am the same way about pain meds. I don't take them unless it's an absolute necessity.
Your preserving attitude will help you overcome this disease. You keep fighting with all your might, and hey, if it means taking out the PA, so be it! :)
Enjoy the game tonight!
Hugs,
Sheila
My MS has become spms,it ain't gonna get any better, what does he know,It can still go into remission,I have faith in that.He was afraid of the inability to walk for 2 days and my blood pressure was sky high but once they gave me the demerol it went back to normal.
His thinkng was getting the inflamation level down quickly to reduce the lesions near the brain stem was in my best interest.
I refused to talk to the PA one on one,it was for her safety and I ain't gonna pay money to see a neuro and get stuck with the PA.
Yes I told my neuro she said I was a drug seeker, her excuse was that she hadn't seen my chart as I'm a new patient there and they aren't aquainted with my history.oh,she can bite me!!!!
Yea ,I didn't disturb the rest of the practice, the neuro was impressed with my organization and he thanked me for the pharmacy report. He even ask if my UTI was being treated as at the hospital the ER doc gave me one cipro and told me to call my GP.
The neuro did tell me to keep an eye on the UTI as this the second one in 2 months and that can be a sign of bladder problems, well yea all I do is pee all the time.
The natural approach I think is his way of saying, the rebif isn't doing you any good at this point.
But we'll treat all the symptoms and treat you with mega doses of steroids.
I only take the pain meds as needed, don't like to live off of them
Heck I'm loopy enough, but I plan on fightening this disease with all I have if even includes taking out the PA doing so(l0l)
Hi, T.
Oh,ok, so she's the ORIGINAL Wicked Witch of the West. (wink)
I suspect they were trying to kill something (maybe you?) with the 1500 mgs at a time.
So, how did the PA treat you?
Did you tell the Neuro that she called you a 'drug seeker'?
Is anyone left alive in the practice? :)
Not sure I understand his thoughts on about it naturally.
I'm glad he was nice and refilled the pain meds.
Sheila
Seen neuro and his assistant, she definately doesn't need a costume for halloween shes scarey
I know why they only ran 3 days of solu-medrol hell they were 1500 mgs at a time,no wonder my insulin level is at 400.Idiot.I told him that they have to let me know when they are gonna run them that way.I keep glucophage at home for when I'm on steroids
he wanted to get the inflamation down quickly so theres no more damage to my legs
And he did fill the pain meds the vicodin and oxy right in front of the PA.
I can't wait until my old neuro gets his practice set back up,this neuro is nice but I don't know about his treatments.he said he just wanted me off the valuim soon.
He's nice and all but I have a hard time following his tactics. He really wants me to stop the rebif and fight it naturally,my gut feeling says not yet.

Go get-um girl! Let us know as soon as you get back today what is said. I hope that everything goes good for you. Lord knows you deserve something good to happen to you.
I'll be praying,
Carol
Hi, T.
Oh my, I'd love to be a 'fly on the wall' at your appointment today. :) I wish I could feel sorry for the Neuro's assistant, but like the saying goes, "I'd feel for her, but I can't reach" LOL
I'd like to see her head on a platter. "Drug seeker' my a@#!
I don't know, I think she deserves that broom right where you'd like to shove it.
We should all be as organized as you, T.
And you don't have a rotten personality! I think considering you have MS, you have an amazing spirit!
Don't ever give up the battle, the war ain't over yet.
Anxious to hear about your appointment today.
