Hi there,
I take Vesicare as well and I take 10mg, I found that the dry mouth did seem to go away after a while, it seemed like my body got used to it, I found it to be very helpful and it helped with painful bladder spasms as well.

My main issue was or should I say urgency, but I have had mishaps thanks to the urgency.  My worst complaint on this drug is because it dries everything out it makes me constipated.

But for me the benefits out way the negatives.

Good luck, cheers Udkas

Thank you!! it seems to dry out my mouth however i am a bleepload of stuff that does that lol!

I have a hardtime remembering and spacing out meds and vitamins so i now have my cellphone programmed to ring an alarm at certain times of the day to remind me it is time to take a med or a vitamin.  This method works well thought i would share.

I've been on Sanctura for well over a year, with mainly good results.  But I have a combined therapy plan of drugs plus the intermittent self-catherization (3-4 times daily) to control a variety of problems.  If just the vesicare alone is not doing all the work, you may want to discuss further options that can help.

Remember there are a number of different incontinence drugs available and you may have to try more than one before you get the right one for you.

good luck L

I'm taking 5mg of Vesicare, too. My neuro's PA wants me to take 10mg, but it dried out my mouth too much when I tried it. It works pretty good - it's not perfect. I still get incontinence - but maybe not so often.  It has also reduced my urgency and frequency, but again, it's not perfect.
