Yes, absolutely been there. It can seem like it is just one sx after another. Sometimes, I get tired of even turning on the computer. So you are not alone. But, for me, after a good rest everything seems to come alive again to a certain extent.

I must confess to feeling squeemish when reading all the posts of people with first symptoms. The first time is a nightmare and so I don't generally respond out of self preservation.

The only constant of life is change and that is an absolute truth of MS.  Relax, try to get some rest and maybe tomorrow will be better.

Blessings

Thanks Alex.  I've been even more tired b/c of broken toe.  Toe is much better but tip is still on/off sensitive to brushing against sheets.  (Sigh)

Feeling a bit better after treating my daughter to a movie (Puss n Boots - cute).  I think I'm just too wrapped up in myself right now and really tired to boot.  Not a good mix.

'Night : )

One of the best gifts to give yourself is time!  So plan your day with plenty of breaks and a nap, too, if you can slip it in.  It makes life a bit kinder.

You bring up a very important point in your comments - I often advise people if they want to feel better, find a way to help someone else.  We can get too focused on our own problems/questions and it can drag us down.  At least I know it could for me.

You will find the people here who have found ways to cope almost always have outlets where they focus on others.  It can be as simple as being a positive presence here for others, or bigger ways to help in your community.

Don't forget to be kind to yourself (and also forgiving) when those times come that you need to focus on your own needs instead of others'.
hugs,
Lulu

Thanks Sumanadevii and LuLu.  I've noticed you are both pretty active helping others here.  It's appreciated.

I'm sleeping but not getting rest (did I already say that?) and I'm cranky.  I'm really concerned about the impact whatever this is will have on my daughter.  She's five and terrific.  How can I explain that Mommy wants to play but can't use arms or doesn't have the strength to pick her up?  I tell her I'm sick but I don't want her afraid of me dying, so I have only explained it (as simply as possible) a couple times over the past 2+ years.  I don't want her focused on this either.

My initial response would be "who cares?' but not everyone shares my dry sense of humor.

My serious response is do the best you can for your daughter, try to make her happy without spoiling her, and try not to scare her with your disabilities

At 5 she can climb up beside you on a big chair or on the couch without you having to pick her up, so just shuffle over and pat the seat beside you and say c'mon and snuggle with your gimpy Mom.

She'll be alright, kids are tough.

Chuckle...  (Humor is fine Mike.  It's print that doesn't always show what's in the heart.)  We snuggle a lot - you're right.  I'm just struggling with the more physical play time and my fatigue.  I have FM (too according to pd) and frequently have to hold my breath until I recover from a 'hit' in the line of play.  Then I really amp things up by falling asleep holding Barbie.

At least our bodies do their best to keep us from getitng bored ; )
Be well.
