Are you working full time?  Legally your employer is required to make allowances for your disability, with limitations.  For example, if you have bladder control problems, you shouldn't be restricted on your bathroom breaks.  If you have trouble standing, they should assign you to a duty that allows you to sit.  Being disabled doesn't necessarily mean you can't work - just that you aren't able to do the work of an 'abled' person.

If your doctor thinks you are too disabled to work 8 hours a day, you'll need to ask him for information on applying for Social Security Disability.  They can help you with the paperwork you need to apply.  If the paperwork seems monumental, you can always seek legal help.
