Thanks for your responses. Lulu thanks for reminding me its the urologist I need now I cant believe i forgot that specialty. I had a complete hysterctomy years ago and used to have uti at that time of the month but like I said I have been tested when I have the symptoms and nothing. I will try the cranberry capsules I dont like the taste of the juice and try to drink more fluids. I also have neuropathy so maybe that can affect the bladder too? .Mary no back probelms occasional aches and pains from over doing or over stretching. I havent been diagnosed with ms just lupus, small fiber painful axonal neuropathy and moderate to severe cognitive impairment, have had mri"s but they only show 6 lesions so guess what no diagnosis I feel my symptoms are more Ms and not lupus but new neuro now so hopefully when i see her in 2 weeks she will have some more answers for me I will bring up the bladder thing when I see her as well.
Take care
Kat
I have to edit now that I see Lulu was here between the time I started my response, answered the phone, fed and pottied the dog, and fed myself. Don't want to leave the impression Lu's post wasn't helpful. In fact, she's exactly right about getting to the speciality shop.
Are you diagnosed Kat? I've been less active here the last few months and have lost tract of people's situations and statistics. 'Couse that happens sometimes anyway since docs have been known to giveth and taketh away (diagnoses) pretty randomly.

Spasms of the urethra or bladder can cause that got-to-go feeling even if there is nothing in the bladder. It's possible that fatigue by the end of a work day on your feet brings on spasms.
Here's an off-the-wall thought. Do you have any lower back problems? Sometimes sitting (especially in a recliner with knees bent some and legs relaxed to the sides) can relieve the increased pressure between vertebrae that occurs with the standing position. Probably not related but your comment about relief coming with rest at home made me think of it. Maybe you don't hit the recliner as soon as you get home like I do though, lol.
I do wonder if your fluid intake drops too low during work hours. It's easy to lose track of time when busy at work and some jobs don't allow employees to keep water at the work station. It's also easy to allow our fluid intake to drop during the winter months without realizing it. I'm not saying that is the cause of your symptoms but increasing fluid intake is more often than not helpful for things that ail us.
You could try cranberry concentrate capsules to help with bladder health in general. For me they are easier, cheaper, lower in calories and tastier than drinking a boat load of cranberry juice. Just remember to drink a boat load of water, lol. I use them to try and keep urinary problems from developing. It seems the snowball effect takes over when urinary symptoms "go viral" (or bacterial), leading to an expansion of symptoms that are very difficult to get under control again.
I'm feeling like I'm all over the place on my response here. I hope someone else chimes in to offer something that helps bring it together for you.

Kat - it sure sounds like it is time to see a urologist and preferable a urogynecologist who can address all the issues. You could be having problems from the MS but it could also be something ordinary such as a dropped bladder. I would hate to guess but I do know all of that can be very miserable.
feel better,
Lu
