changes in med's

Hi Quix.... just wondering if you recommend Tramacet for a frozen shoulder?  My Dr. GP put me on it for something else, and it seemed to help my shoulder more.  I just take 1 at night, with my Gabapentin and my Trazodone.. is that OK?
Also, I've told you my horrible history with neurologists, well, the last one hummed and hawed about my MS, and said well, I think so, them 2 paragraphs later he stated that he believed that I am the secondary-progressive phase right now, and still believes that I have Parkinsons as well.   Does any of this make sense?   Was also wondering if Tramacet is ok to take just when the pain gets bad, or should you be on it alot?  Is it addictive, or is there better pain meds out there for the pain of MS and a frozen shoulder?      thanks for listening !!

Hi Mike, where abouts are you in BC???   I'm in Victoria.  I have used it just a couple of times, only 1 pill, and it seems to help my frozen shoulder for pain, ( which at times is quite intense) .. It was prescribed for me for another reason, but I asked my GP about using it for the shoulder and my leg pain, and he said, "If if works, absolutely"..we are having trouble finding med's that work for me.  Sometimes you hear horror stories from people about drugs, and it scares the bejeepers out of us.   Do you have MS too??

take care too, Candy

I'm no expert, but I take Tramacet for pain. My GP prescribed it for head pain (after a brain biopsy about 10 months ago) and I hardly ever took it at first, unless the headaches became unbearable. Two days ago I put up with a relatively mild headache all day when my wife said "why suffer through it, take a pill". I took 2 Tramacet...bingo...headache gone, within 15 minutes. I have taken it for a very sore neck (stress related???) and I've noticed my sore shoulder socket pain goes away when I take it for headache.

You're right to ask Quix, but I was intrigued because a fellow BCer is prescribed Tramacet.

take care      Mike
