concerns

I have a 23 year old daughter who had been complaiining of severe headaches so they set her up for an mri the results showed a lesion on the right cerebral cortex and they were concerned that it may be ms so they did more mri's ct scans brain wave eeg and a lot of blood work they also did a c spine with and without contrast which showed a lesion on the thorasic spine then they did a ct on the chest abdomin (abdomen) and pelvic area and a nodule showed up on the lung so our next step is her going to see a lung specialist tomorrow because with all the other tests that they had ran the neorologist has pretty much ruled out ms needlest to say I am very worried because brain and lung cancer runs rampant in my family and 4 years ago I had a cousin who died of lung brain and adrenal cancer what I am wondering is there anyone out there who may have an idea of what could be going on it is very upsetting going to various doctor appts we have been going 2 to 3 times a week with her for a month and a half and still have no diagnosis yet and the not knowing is taking a toll on our family especially with her 6 year old son who cries because mommy can't sleep and has headaches to the point where she screams out in pain

Wow... that's like one really long sentence!

That's a disturbing set of circumstances, and at this point it's hard to say what's going on.  Lesions in the brain and spine point to MS, but the nodule in the lung do not.  The important thing I think is to treat her headaches.
