determine MRI strength

I have my MRI on cd.  Is there somewhere on the film or the report where you can find the strength of the machine used?

Hi, I'm going from memory here, I seem to recall that in the upper right hand corner of my latest MRI, I noticed a 1.5 before the serial number for the machine.

I'm sure that different places have different software, and you might not find it there.  I think that most of the newer machines include the strength of the machine in the serial number.  If you can't find it, you can call the MRI department where you had it done and ask.

I called one Open MRI place because I couldn't find the strength (and the pictures were pretty bad), and found out that their machine was only a .3.  It must have been old; I don't think they make them that weak any more!
