electrical spine pain

Hi. I was wondering if anyone else has had or has sharp pain down the middle of their spine? kind of like electrical shocks?  this is a very new symptom for me, should I even bring it up at my next Dr. visit? not sure if it is MS related or because I have injury to my disc..

Well I do have djd in the neck but that usually causes pain in and sometimes pinched nerve this is different kind of pain.  straight down the spine starts In the back of my skull.  I have had lesions on my MRI scans and my Nero says I have MS but he's not sure if its progressive or remission type.  so just treating symptoms for last year and half.
I had Lyme 14 yrs ago and fibromyalgia CFS for years all MRI okay than 3 yrs ago I had memory issues and severe spasms motor control dizziness etc. so MRI was done and lesions found.                                                                                        TRYING TO find an MS Dr in new York per my primary.

Hi toughchick,

Welcome to the forum. Do you have MS and disc issues? And, does this happen upon neck flexion? I second what's been said about bringing it up to your doc. Lhermittes (if this is what it is) can be caused by either triggered by looking down (flexing the neck). Shouldn't be painful, but it is a distrubing feeling. I've not had the shock sensations, but definitely had the weird spine sensations and buzzing directly in my keister. Said to be lhermittes and lesions in c-spine, but I too have disc issues.

I get electric shock feelings in my legs due to nerve damage. I have disc problems also. If your dr finds out what the cause is they can give you treatment for it. In my case I was given a nerve medicine. Definitely bring it up to your dr. Best wishes, Sissie
