first mri

Going for my first MRI and while no one has said MS it is what  I am thinking.  Know if it is this is going to be an uphill battle as I am dealing with this alone.  Everything I read says you need a support system but I have none - scary thing to go thru alone.

You will receive a ton of support on this site!! The people on here are really my only support system. I have a few people at work that I speak with as well. But nobody understands more than the wonderful people on here.

Like Ess said, just take it one thing at a time.

While in the MRI machine just think about happy things, like a vacation, or something you enjoy doing. In other words....'find a happy place!" ;-)

Best wishes to you and keep up posted. We're here for you!

Hello and welcome.

My advice is to try to take one thing at a time. First is the MRI. That's not scary, unless you are phobic or have panic disorder, in which case you should ask for a tranquilize ahead of time.

You don't need a support system for an MRI, and it's actually good you're having one, so think of it that way. It's the first step in unraveling the mystery.

We'll be your support system as things move along. If you'd like to tell us more about yourself, we can answer more in depth.

Please feel free to ask anything you'd like here. That's what this forum is about.

Best wishes,

ess
