from doublevision1: Suggestion to work around one of the recent format changes

What I like least about the new format is not being able to see on the main page who is posting. We need to go into each individual post to see who posted and even then it took me a minute to figure it out as the poster's user name is tucked away at the bottom in small font. Photos are useful for identyimg the poster but not everyone chooses to use one.

What do you think of posting our user name in the subject line of each new post we create?

eg: my subject line above;

"from essidipity: hospitalized" ; etc.

Or is that more trouble and/or confusion than it's worth?

I really do not like this format. It is hard to answer. It is hard too see who posted. It is also harder to get to the sight. Anyone no tricks to get to the site. I used to be able to choose my communities to get to them with a click.

Alex I just bookmark each specific community I want to visit and go directly to them that way.
Thanks. I wish there was a fix for everything else. Even going back is confusing

Inthink it is the mobile version of the site that is causing problems. When I'm looking at it I see a link at the bottom that says Full Site. When I click on it Inget the old, full version. Is that link not there for everyone?

I see Full Site on iPhone but not iPad. When I try Full site on iPhone,  the layout is a little more familiar but I still can't see user name of OP until I click on the post itself.

To be honest, we've been shouting into the wind at them for gutting the heart of the community (the health pages) for years now—first, removing the link on the forum page, then recently just quietly deleting them full stop. At this point, I have precisely zero faith in them responding to the desires and needs of the community itself.

Some days, it takes more mental capacity than it deserves to not just do a classic internet forum 'flounce' on here, but I don't because of the people and because of the help I got here when I desperately needed it. But they've driven away some amazing people.

That idea intrigues me.

I am hoping this is not a permanent change. I sent an e-mail to the Contact Us at the bottom of the page.

Like you, not seeing who has posted is not ideal so I mentioned that and a few other things.

I got a reply within a couple of hours and they said they were keeping track of all feedback.

They also said if you log in and out it should revert

Bizarre how it's set up so that you can't see the entirety of what you've typed in the above Reply boxes to individual posts.

Really surprised at what a rough roll out this is. Could have been avoided if they'd tested the new design with CL's and some active forum members. More feedback I will provide them.

Argh! Clicked on Submit accidentally!

The email said you may need to log out/in several times and it will revert to the old format since it is not in full use yet.
