I can at least offer the liquid boy scout(lighter fluid) or have you used a more powerful accelerant????
I totally understand the bitterness when it comes to idiot DRs.
Does this DR have an answering service,if so I'd be a calling it.
OH....It's by IV! Stupid, stupid me. You've got to go in to be infused, and he didn't set it up for you? What an idiot!
How can you make his weekend inconvenient? Let's think.

sorry tlynn.. u are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to late to bring the logs.... i took his clothes off to use as fire :) I get bitter when they act like idiots!!! :)
Your current neuro is past defective, didn't he see your medical records?
In my case my lesions disappeared and caused brain atrophy.Heck I'm not even a neuro.
500mgs of solu-medrol at one dose hes a quack. And I try avoid steroids at all cost.I'm scheduled for another 5 days, but putting it off,if I could send it to ya I would.
If your symptoms progress ,go to the ER,maybe they have a neuro that has a brain. You need to be well to take care of your children.
This neuro definately needs roasting,I bring the logs!!!!!!!!
Coz the doctor is out til Monday... and I most likely wont get a call back til late in the afternoon... I already called the infusion and place and told her to stick me on the schedule for tuesday morning... I will be calling the doctors office Monday morning... I'm good at that...but for some reason, I don't think they will speed it up... I'm new to this stupid state lol and stupid town lol Can you tell I'm bitter about now!!!??? I WANT MY MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL if only it was that simple lol
Well, then your fiance will know what it's like to be a mother. Don't worry about it.
Now, explain to me like I'm a five-year-old. I'm not doing the scroll thing again. Sorry, nystagmus today, really bad. Why can't you get it until Tuesday? If I can't check back, someone else will. If you don't feel well, Roxanne, PLEASE go to the ER. Why should you suffer because of some idiot doctor?
Take care, and let Mr. Mom take care of the rest.

the thing is I cant get the dose til prob tuesday!!! my poor fiance... he is doing double work around here... helping around the house, the kiddos ( i have8 & 10 yr old girls) besides my 5 yr old son......PLUS he works fulltime!!!!!!!!!!1 I'm just goin to take it easy this weekend I guess... and go to ER if it worsens.......... but I know I'm not alone...so that helps... thanks for everything

Roxanne
Oy! How frustrating!! What a dufus! I'm SO sorry you now have to get through the weekend like this. Take Quix's advice and try the ER, maybe. Do you think you could do that if that dose is ineffective for you?
Don't bother with the stick -- he's going on top of the heap! We'll lob him up and enjoy doing it!
Feel well!

Listen to this.. I looked at order today.. and it was only for 500mg X1 THATS It! I thought at LEAST this bozo of a neurologist would have it at 1000mg.. but NOOO I was wrong.. so I called his office, and he is out today... will call me back on Monday.. so its gonna be a few more days til I can get this dose!! I know I know.. gotta take care of me before I can take care of others!!! Thanks for everything!
getting my roasting stick out for this one!
You definitely get first dibs at the weanie roast!! Your neuro sounds like a really bright guy??!!!!! LOL
I am sorry you have to fight him to help you! I hope you get some relief from the first dose and I agree w/ Quix, you have to take care of you so that you can be the best mom you can be (you already sound like a Supermom!!!!).
Take care and I will be praying for you!
Kristin
PS. Quix - you are our Super Den mother and the same goes for you! Take care of you and I am praying your arms lighten up!! .
Okay! Okay! You get to skewer this neuro and we'll all watch and he gets roasted first! As far as your son - I know I'm talking to a mom here, but, who is the most unstable right now? I think it may be you. You are in the beginning of a relapse that may compromise your ability to take care of him. Of course, only you can make that call, but - now I'm speaking as a pediatrician - sometimes the best care of the child is to take care of the parent. Think about the wisdom of that. It's a question that only you can answer, but you also have to look at the longer term. Can his be rescheduled? Will the wait be harmful? Now, answer the same for yourself and his need for you to be healthy.
Yes, in MS the nerve signals that indicate a UTI can be faulty or absent completely. I just went through this and am just finishing the antibiotics.
We just have to look at the whole picture and sometimes putting you first is putting him first, too.
((((Hugs)))) Quix
I don't know much about the weiner roast you all talk about.. but I think my neuro deserves to be toasted first!!!!!!! :) No, I have to wait til tomorrow (friday) to schedule the IV....Before i would get 5 days, coz I had broken out in hives with tapering dose of prednisone before, so I would do 5 days of solumedrol and thats it.. and it worked great.... As far as UCSF.... they could see me early, but the days they could.. I had something for my son who has brain damage & autism... and I cant/shouldnt reschedule his...so i was hoping a few days of solumedrol would hold me over.... Quix, thanks for thinking of me... As far as an UTI.. wouldnt I have like symtpoms? I do feel hot (not sexy hot either :) ... but no fever....... my blood pressure is usually 110/70 today it was 134/80.... I told him that but he didnt seem like it was a big deal.. i said, the reason im mentioning it to you, coz when a person is in pain, bp is high........he just looked at me like i had 140000 heads!!
I DEMAND this neuro be at least the top 5 of weiner roast!!!!!!!!
take care
Roxanne
Hi there. I think about you over and over and still can't believe the dimwit of a neuro you saw. It does sound like you are relapsing. A one day dose is better than nothing, but most protocols for a disabling relapse say 3 to 5 days. At least he got the dose right. If he is going to give you one day, then he needs to commit himself and give you two more. As you know, an infection is a frequent cause of a relapse. You should be seen emergently by your regular doc and checked especially for a UTI. Get a CBC, too to see if it indicates anything. Maybe your regular doctor would extend the Solumedrol for another two days.
Also place a call to UCSF and explain the problem. Sometimes there is a cancellation and they could work you in early. Another thought. the day after the Solumedrol if the pain and the eye is no better show up to the ER. Maybe you could get another couple days of the Solumedrol that way.
No, I hadn't forgotten you. Did you get the IV dose today? Please keep us posted!!!! Quix
