Any updates on this... i too suffer from this and now my right hand is in pain all day cause its been clenched shut at night for a week now.  I wake up at nite just to straighten my hand.  It's been going on for months but this has been the worst episode.  The left tends to clench however not as hard.

Thanks for any info.

lulu and frankie

lulu i was going to get mine from the chemist but the dr said they need to be fitted properly but if they only give me night splints i might get some carpol tunnel day supports as when using tubi grip i found this has helped.

frankie when i have been up the local hospital i will post i am hoping they can help but if your dr wont help,go online and google night hand splints they do all sorts and also just supports too. good luck. sam

Frankie- if you can't get your doctor to look at this closer, you might consider buying carpel tunnel splints - I got mine at the local mega-grocery story.  they are washable and very comfortable to sleep in too.

the ones I bought are like open-finger gloves with a flexible splint inside the wrist to keep the wrist straight.

I hope this helps,
Lulu

Hi, wow this sounds familiar. I have mentioned this to my doctors as well and they just look at me as if 'bummer for you'. I have just lived with it for about a year. It gets really back if I am sick, but for the most part, mostly at night. I have never recieved a path for treatment, but wearing splints at night may not be a bad idea. I never thought that it could be related. They drs just like to tell me to incorporate less stress in my life.

Please write back if you get more information about the cause and treatment for this.

I hope you feel better. Take care.
