When I am having my bad stretches, I do have more headaches. Could be the stress of it all, who knows. I have no Dx. However, both of my sisters have MS Dx and both have horrible headaches for days at a time. Not sure if that helps, but you're not alone.

Most of my headaches are taken care of by 2 Aleves. I don't like taking anything because I'm sensitive and all the warnings but when in pain , I have to do something in order to live a little.
I get headaches accompanied by stiff neck and shooting pain , ice-pick type. I can sympathize , its a real *****.
Sometimes pain control can be helped by combinations of meds. My favorites are flexeril, codeine and valium. Any two in combination( for me small amounts ). I have a nurse friend who has Wegener's and was in much pain and this is what was recommended to her( large doses) and we had both found this info to work extremely well
You might also consider a pain clinic , I'm thinking in going in this direction . I met a doc from one and he said he'd be happy to help me.
I have migraines. Bad ones! My Neuro gave me some exert to try. It really seems to help. I get the same feeling as you with off balance, blurred vision. Mine for the most part are on my left side starting at my temple. It does radiate through my left eye causing sharp pains. I am not DX yet either.
woke up with another headache today, thump thump thump, but also with ear ache so i guess it's an ear infection, will see doc tomorrow thank you for you well wishes :)

sounds like migraine to me. I get them. Mostly in conjunction with menstrual cycle. Imitrex (prescription) seems to work for me. You might ask your dr. about a scrip.
I have a lot of migraines too. In addition to hormones, migraines can also be caused by certain foods, i.e. peanut butter, bananas, msg and many others. They can also be caused by weather. Most of mine are from the weather. Whenever it's going to rain, I get a migraine. Can you tell what cause yours?
My headaches seem to happen when i move my head quickly, or I wake up with them, they also coincide with how numb my face is, so could be my neck. although this time it was an inner ear problem Labyrinthitis( sorry about spelling) have got tablets for it.

I can empathize. I have had continuous head pain, everyday, since May 2005. I was sitting in a meeting at work and it felt like someone hit be in the back of the head with a baseball bat. I even turned around to see who would do such a thing. Anyway, I have had headaches constantly since that day.
My pain originates from the back of the head and on the left side of my head. Can be throbbing, dull or sharp knife type pain.
I also have other issues: brain surgery in 1996, seizures, EBV, that cloud the headache issue. I have been through Cleveland Clinic, ruling out MS, been through the Headache Clinic, Pain Management Center, etc.
My PCP finally gave me Vicodin and Tramadol for my headaches. I subsides he pain somewhat but the pain never goes away. I can tell exactly when he painkillers wear off.
Since I have not been able to be gainfully employed since July 2005, I am able to wear an ice pack on my head during the day and always at night.
The doctors tell me I am a tough case ... a mystery ... I have left more doctors' offices in tears than I can care to remember.
I know this is not encouraging news but just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in your pain and your quest to find relief!
I was having migraines daily, sometimes day and a half, with short stretches of up to five days without headache and then headaches again. Neuro put me on pill to prevent migraines but it didn't do much and made me itch (lost 20 lbs, but gained 8 back within 7 days of quitting the medicine). I saw butterbur mentioned on a migraine doctor's PDF I downloaded, researched it, bought some quite cheaply, at www.Vitacost.com I think. You have to take 2-3 a day until migraine free for a month. Well, it is working MUCH better than the prescription med and it's cheap, too!
When I do get one, I take Relpax (expensive, thank goodness I have insurance even though it is going up a lot) and codeine if it is really bad. I keep stacks of ice packs in the freezer full-time for my forehead, got some el cheapo neck warmers (microwave) at BIg Lots for my neck although the warmth doesn't last long. If I have the energy I will add coffee liqueur to coffee (coffee helps) or make a Black Russian. Even a beer will help me relax and so relax the neck muscles. I don't have anyone to massage the tense neck muscles.
Best ice pack are washcloth sewn together folder in half filled with the individual "ice cube" cold pack things. Sometimes Walgreens has them, sometimes a local discount store.
What are you taking for the headaches? Are they just in the back of your head or do they radiate elsewhere? There are so many different types of headaches, that it hard to determine which ones they are...
I am so sorry that you're in pain, CJ......
BIG HUGS!
