iGg readings help?

Trying to decipher results.  Neurologist ordered test to look for multiple sclerosis. They ruled out stroke and tumor but they did find several lesions on brain.  With the weakness on left side of body and now right side checking for MS.  So far Lyme disease and everything share has came back negative

Component Results

Component Standard Range.         Your Value
ALBUMIN CSF8.0 - 42.0 mg/dL.            7.3
IGG SERUM 694 - 1618 mg/dL.            1100
ALBUMIN SERUM 3.7 - 5.1 g/dL.           4.31
IgG Index. <0.66.                                       0.27
IGG SYNTHESIS RATE CSF-9.9 - 3.3 mg/24 h-  6.1
IgG Rate 0.8 - 7.7 mg/dL.                          0.5

Looks like igg index really low. Not sure what to make of that.  I don't have health insurance anymore so no idea when i can see Neurologist again.    My initial symptoms started 3 weeks ago.  Dizziness fatigue  left side weakness.   After spinal tap got headache needed blood patch. Still have dizziness laying down getting up and fatigue and 9 days ago right side is started to feel weak. Noticed toe and fingertops get numb when cold.   Really worried they haven't found anything yet

Hi and welcome,

I can't tell you much, what i do know is that it's expected for you to have low IGG reading in your CSF, high is significant but low IGG and no Obands is not suggestive of a condition like MS. Keep in mind that an normal LP can't diagnostically exclude MS, MS is diagnosed on the totality of your diagnostic evidence eg clinically abnormal neurological signs, brain and or spinal MRI's, nerve conductor tests, LP, blood tests etc etc

To be honest i'm not at all sure how an ear, nose or throat issue could cause half your body to be weaker than the other side......

Cheers.........JJ

Continued from above.  Some history. 17 years had massive headache in college and they did MRI nothing came back. After that had weakness on left side of body and felt weak and unbalanced for almost two years and snapped out of it.  Over the past 17 years the weakness on left side comes and goes but never for too long.

3 weeks ago.  It started with a feeling of cotton balls in my head and light headed feeling and fatigue. Then the weakness in left side.  4 days later went to ER. They did Ct scan tons of bloodwork Mri of brain and spinal tap after they found several white lesions.

So far from looking at chart online.  Everything has come back negative. They found no bands and protein levels good.

Not sure what to feel.  Been so tired haven't hardly been out of bed in last two weeks. 9 days ago right side of bottom now feels weak.  This has never happened.  My primary doctor wants me to see ear nose throat doctor but wondering if that can cause weakness in body.
