wow, i have the itching really bad too, all over. but my face bothers me the most.  I thought it was a medication and i also took benodril hoping it would help.  It seemed to help actually , we will see if it continues.  I have it worse when i lie down and at night and it keeps me awake.

I need to keep things in a diary, i am so slow, even on here. I cant get it ll read. and dont always know where to post.  meg

Here is Quix answer to Debj52's question about itching.  Post was 3/22/08

"Yes, itch is definitely a form of paresthesia that can be experienced in MS.  It also can appear in paroxysms. Itch can be more problematic than pain, actually.  They are coping techniques for dealing with chronic pain, but they have not been able to find a way to help people with chronic itching.  It is almost impossible to ignore or learn to live with.

Hence, it is a better torture technique than pain.  Weird factoid, no? "

Hope this helps you!!

Hi, I am undx too, but the itching is what made me start investigating MS as my possible problem, along with fatigue and spasms.

I overheard an MS sufferer speaking about their unrelenting itching.  I had been dealing with this for years and could not find an explaination for it.  Even cortizone cream doesn't touch it!!

I get it in my hands, legs below my knees, sometimes my arms, but mostly my feet.  It is miserable and nothing helps.

I know we have brought this up on the forum before, but it has been awhile.  Quix does agree that this kind of itching is most likely MS related, I can't remember the explaination or the exact post (I'll see if I can find it for you and bump it up).

My heart goes out to you, cause this itching makes you miserable and I don't know anything that makes it better.  I will pray that it goes away quickly for you.

Hugs

Hi there, just a quick question... does anything bring it on? Heat maybe?

Example: i get "itchy, burny, tingly, prickly" all over when I get hot. Basically horrid feeling to me. Not all MS'ers feel like this, each person is unique, you know... just wondering.

hope it eases for ya!
