Well I missed posting on Monday. Last couple of weeks have been jam packed. Went back to see my 90 year old before she moves to Miami to live with my brother, was home a day then Tysabari on Tuesday, Vanderbilt for consult on Wednesday and Thursday, then on to Buffalo to see my daughter who's in pharmacy school in her new apt with her new puppy.
So, come this week when I got home I came down with a nasty upper respiratory illness that's aggravating my asthma so nights are really difficult. Ran a low grade temp that went away but has now returned so good thing I have a "well check-up" with my PCP that was scheduled weeks ago, on Monday.
Saw my neuro on Friday and FINALLY he has released me from re-checks every few weeks to my appt. in January!!! At least my MS has finally stabilized!!! Whew!!! Getting tired re-reading my whirlwind last month.
Sorry I have been absent from the boards but my Mom's health and care will always come first, no offense intended. Hopefully after I am over this cold, I will become a frequent poster again but I have a LOT of reading to do :-).
Miss you all,
Ren
Oh it's Friday... Wow have I been out of the loop..
Well my week was spent in a dizzy daze... And bed for 2 full days +.
I am at work today.. Coping.
I still don't understand what hit me.. Relapse or the crash after steroids or combo but it was scary and surreal. I am just happy to be coming out of it now. :) here's to a lazy weekend ahead :)
We're flooding here in Colorado. Rain, rain, and more rain. I miss the sun. I hope it stops soon.
Mon we found out that the recent hailstorm caused extensive damage to our roof and our siding. Now we have to get the roof replaced again, just after 3 yrs of getting a new one from another bad hailstorm. They're noting the storm as a catastrophe. I hope we don't get cancelled by our insur company for multiple claims.
Tues had my PTSD counseling.
Wed went to see my dermatologist and was diagnosed with granuloma annulare on a large portion of my leg - which sometimes can be associated with cancer.
Yesterday went for blood work at my primary doc and went and visited my brother's wife's family that's in from MN.
Sat I get my haircut - I can't wait. 4 wks is way too long in between my haircuts. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. I always have to start cutting it before I go in again.
BZA hearing didn't happen as planned. Five member board with an alternate, and 4 of them couldn't make it. Some had ironclad last minute excuses; no biggie; just frustrating. Lack of quorum means reschedule, readvertise, renotify, etc. Secretary's out; had her tonsils out last Friday. Ah, well, I get paid by the hour, don't I?
Kids' Club & prayer meeting tonight. Payday tomorrow (FWIW). Thanks to those praying for our shower project. The only leaks so far have been from those "DUH!" situations I caught myself doing!
I'm off to Italy on Friday!

HAHAHA John, I meant from the cooking class!!
I have and 800# for my online fax, have the release form sign it and fax it to them and request they sent the report to my family Dr and then also request they sent the report to my 800 also.. I assume they think the Dr has two fax numbers. THey don't ask and I don't tell them that is going to me.
Most Imaging departments look at X-ray"s and MRI's and other scan in less than two hours of your scan in most cases. THe report is generated most times and is completed in eight hours and sign electronically.
As you know the report is only a guide, however the MRI is completed at the teaching hospital. My MS Specialist looks at the MRI and doesn't care about the report.
Correction my MRI is on Sept 27, in the Chicago area.
take care

Better take some pictures of the leaves turning, Dennis, some of us won't get to see them this year.......sob
No plans this week for me, enjoying coffee on the porch in the morning before it gets hot, unpacking boxes, but nothing medical now that the UTI is gone.
Everyone have a good one!
ROAD TRIP for me. I'm off to Maine and will spending a couple of weeks or more up there depending on how things go.
I also got and started using my new electric razor today. My OT suggested that I switch due to the trouble I have been having shaving with a razor.
Dennis
Thanks, Raz, for jumping in and getting this rolling. I love it when others do it - it means someone really is paying attention. LOL
I just have a five day work week facing me. I don't get those often between doctor appointments and holidays and vacation days. I have another 5 day schedule the following week but then for the last week of Sept I have two doctor appointments that will make it a 3.5 day work week
What's eveyryone else up to? come on and give it up!

.
I'm going to have a sleep study and CPAP pressure prescription adjustment, followed the next day by a multiple sleep latency test to see if I might have narcolepsy.
Let us know if you get any gotta-try-this ideas, eh, John?
Work, plumbing & carpentry involved with replacing a shower stall in our downstairs bathroom. Work. Board of Zoning Appeals hearing tomorrow night (but that's work, too). More work. More plumbing & carpentry, etc. More work.
I have confirmation today that my six month MRI is approved for the brain box and C-spine W/WO contrast. Mri is next Friday.. I've learned how to get a copy of the MRI report faxed to me the next..
The wife and me are taking a veggie cooking class on Saturday.
take care
