Congratulations!

To answer your question though, it is a category C drug for pregnancy, here's the definition of that:

Category C
Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus
and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but
potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women
despite potential risks.

Do you mean the IV is going right now and you are waiting for the nurse to come back when it's over?  I would call her in now and tell her you are pregnant.  They will probably want to stop it until they find out what your doc thinks.  Don't worry though, just get the nurse and find out.  Keep us updated.

Wow ! Congratulations on this news.  How exciting for you.  The nurse should know the answer to your question but I would also immediately call your neuros office and get their opinion.

Congrats again! We haven't had a baby her in quite some time.
