migraine - a typical

i have had headache/ migrains for 8 months, daily too, and drug resistant. i know its common with ms but mine have presented in an a-typical way (no vomitting or aura, and fatigue without pain) making a migraine dx less obvious. my ms nurse only just suggested it could be migraine...well duh! lol im keen to hear other peoples tips, statergies and strories.

Ihave migraines (and all sorts of other weird headaches).  The last few months I've had a bad one, associated with a "flare" of other neuro sx (I'm not dx with MS).  The thing that finally got the headache under control was the neurontin I started taking for trigeminal neurlgia.

I don't know if the headache was from the TN or whether it just got better with the medicine (my MS specialist said this kind of headache was a common MS sx).

Just what seems to have worked for me.

Stephanie

P.S.  The big downside of neurontin for me is that it makes me quite dizzy about 1-2 hours after I take it.  That's not so bad for the night time dose, but it's pretty frustrating with the morning and afternoon doses!!

I am sorry that stinks.

I have MS and typical and atypical migraines. Sometimes no pain just blindness in left eye and numbness all the way down leftside until immtrex kicks in. I quarter my immitrex and use them sparingly.  I take one if weather changes are coming that is a trigger for me. I drink lots of water. Mine are also tied to my asthma and allergies so I take asthma and nasal spray.
