ms?

hi
I was just told i have a yeast infection.I'm a male..30 years of age.The last time i was sexually active was last april (unprotected..for less than a minute.) Before that..was about 2 years ago.
I've always had a sensitive stomach..for years.About a year and a half ago..i started belching alot..alot of bloating..like my stomach was full of air.Last september i had testicular aching..followed by a buring urination. They found blood..and i took antibiotics for about a week. The blood has never come back since.Shortly after that..i started having all kinds of random pains...which would come and go.First my lower back..then stomach, xiphiod bone, muscles (buttocks, legs ect..), cold hands and feet, extremely dry mouth that could not be helped with water, frequent urination, and even a penile rash.I was told also that i have condyloma. At times i get minor headaches, and muscle twitching.I get facial tics..in my nostril, lip and eye.I'm sure there are more symptoms..just can't remeber right now.
During this time i had alot of tests done.Ultrasound of the testicles, abdomin and pelvis, chest xrays, tested for all std's including hiv, colonoscopy, gastroscopy, small bowel, many urine tests..and a wide variety of blood tests.Doctors said they could not see anything totally out of the ordinary.I was literally checked head to toe.The microbiologist checked for yeast..as i was having weird reactions on my penis. Finally after the third try..it came back positive for yeast.I started taking a cream (nystatin) and its helped. After that i have to take a single pill...and go back to get tested.
I never had any problems really with vision,or falling,or numbness.( which seems to be quite a common syptom) The majority of all these symptoms..have all attacked at once, for about a year. They come, and go.
It seems like i have alot of symptoms of ms.I've done research..and i'm really scared. Can an mri rule out ms at this point? Can someone please give me their opinion of what this could be..a candida overgrowth..or does this sound like ms.Thankyou to everyone for taking the time to read this..any advice would be sooo apreciated.

From what I have read, here and elsewhere, the MRI, nor any other test, can rule out MS when viewed through a period of time.   I have read numerous times where people have failed all of the tests (MRI, EVP, CSF, EBV, etc..) for years, yet exhibit symptoms for years and ultimately get a diagnosis because lesions miraculously appear!

I am sure some of the folks on the board can offer additional info though.   I have been at this for 7 years, but I am nowhere as knowledgeable as many on this board.

Good luck with unraveling the mystery, Tom.

thanks for your response.I did all kinds of tests for my bowels..from the colonoscopys, gastroscopys, small bowel bariums, tested for h pylori, celiac disease.I don't exactly know what the tests are for chrons..but i fiure someone would have brought it up by now.Like i said..the one concrete thing i do know is that i have a yeast infection.I'm thinking all this is a serious overgroth of candida. Its the only tangible eveidence i have.But..when i get the twitches..i really start thinking its ms..and it terrifies me.Should i get an mri? Would it finally put the possibility of ms to rest.I so desperately need some kind of closure. Thanks for your advice..appreciate it

MS can cover a lot of symptoms, as it affects the brain, which controls the body!  However, MS symptoms are neurological, meaning that if it can be caused by a nerve problem, then it's from the brain rather than something else.

Your symptoms cover a lot of ground.  The cold hands and feet, muscle twitching, and random pains do sound like a neurological problem.  However, the dry mouth, frequent urination, rash, headaches, bloating, and blood sound like something else - I have no idea what!

Have you been worked up for Crohn's?  Symptoms include abdominal pain, eye pain, joint pain, a red rash on the shins, and sufferers often have 'small bowel bacterial overgrowth syndrome.' 15% of people with Crohn's have neurological symptoms, so it's definitely something to consider.
