Hi there,
I asked the same question less than a week ago and received some helpful answers. You should be able to find my post. Also one of the forum members asked Dr Kantor the same question. His answer was very helpful. You can read this on the MS ask a Dr forum), Also you can get directed to a website that will give a more in depth answer. If I put the site here it will get censored out!
If uncertain ring your local MS Society or your Neuro. My Neuro works with the MS nurses, so if you call him they talk to him and get back to you if he wishes to see you etc. and they can also answer your questions.
Bea, my rule of thumb for a relapse is new symptoms that last for longer than a few hours. The funny thing is I rarely notice that I'm in a relapse - I just notice that I start feeling better.
