muscle twitching

by scaredtodeath689, Jul 04, 2009 12:26PM
Hello and happy 4th to everyone. I have just recently been dx w/ MS. I have constant muscle twitching all over especially when I am nervous or at night in bed. It freaks me out. Does anyone else have this? Thanks

Yes it can result from nerve inflammation as is the case with ms. Its not an unusual symptom

Hi STD,
you wrote a very telling phrase in there - that this is especially apparent when you have nervousness or the quiet.  This is veery normal in the early stages of dx with MS - we become very attuned to our bodies.  Its like our receivers are cranked up and every thing is amplified tenfold.  After a while it does become a bit quieter.

Have you talked with your neuro about these sx's? There are drugs that can be prescribed to quiet the noise.

I hope we'll see you around here more.

my best,
Lulu

I am not dx, but I do get the twitchies!  My right arm and eye have been going for weeks now. It's very annoying.
