nerve pain in my ankles

by Barbie51, Jul 20, 2009 09:32PM
I have nerve pain that comes and goes in both ankles/feet just below ankle bone, more on right side than left.  I can't stand to have a shoe touch this part of my foot.  Is this perhaps part of my MS?

Barbie,
its odd that it comes and goes on both ankles - is that at the same time? I have ankle pain too but it is only in my left leg. But that doesn't mean anything.

As you probably already know, it seems like anything and everything seems possible with MS ....
I'm sorry I can't be more specific with an answer.

be well,
Lulu

Thanks Lulu, you're right, now that I think about it, it shouldn't be in both ankles if it's MS.  Guess I just need to ask Dr.

Lulu, I just read  your  "She is still the same" piece.  That is beautiful.  Thank you.  I'm going to print it out and keep it.

Barb,
That was just my response you read  - another forum member wrote "she is still the same."

We have lots of very talented people here - I am glad you found that one.

be well,

I've used to have extreme feet pain in both feet--my right side was worse than left.  After a year on Copaxone, the pain is finally gone.  The pain was so severe that I was almost in a wheelchair so that I could get around, and I needed help getting to the restroom.  I didn't know if this was related to the MS or not, but this was one symptom that finally cleared up after a year on treatment.  By the way, MS medicines aren't supposed to clear lesions up, but the lesions on my brain do appear to be smaller after treatment and many of my symptoms are much better.

Thank you Deb.  I'm so glad the copaxone has helped you.  I'm doing well on Avonex as well, just wonder about these interesting aches and pains and what they mean.

Take care,
Barb
