new week - What are you doing?

new week - What are you doing?

Happy labor day to those in the US - this used to be a holiday to celebrate the trade/union workers of America but is now mainly used as the time to mark the end of summer.  Our temps dropped from 98 over the weekend to 60 today.  I guess summer really is over.

How are you marking this first week of the unofficial fall?  Any appointments or events we should be aware is going on for you?

This is our weekly roundup - time to share!

Today  a small cook out for just the bride & me,  a little yard work.

Tuesday & Thursday is last visits for PT on ankle from surgery in April,  I have full range and 50% of strength in my achilles,  they are trying to get me approved for another  six weeks of PT at twice a week.  If not they have been wonderful with the PT and helping with balance issues sort   of off the  medical chart.

Friday we pick up our four year old Grandson and he'll go back home on the following Monday.   I hope I can keep up with him ..

It's a quite week, waiting to learn if the numbers have changed, and wishing for some much needed sleep. I am feeling a bit loopy.

I hope everyone has a love filled week and will take good care of themselves,

Sending out daily hugs to all. {{{~!~}}}

It's also a holiday in Canada today, we just spell it differently. :)  Happy Labour Day to all!

We arrived home late last night from Nova Scotia.  I started feeling yucky a couple of days ago and now I have a full fledged cold.  I feel exhausted, head stuffy and throat sore.  :(

This week I need to have bloodwork for a pile of different things my new GP wants done. By the looks of the requisition they're going to need to take about a dozen vials I think!  Actually haven't met the new GP; saw his vacation coverage guy a few weeks ago who ordered the blood tests.  My results should be back by the time I meet with new GP next week.

That's about it.  Otherwise just planning to get loads of rest this week.

Hope you're all having a great long weekend.  :)

I didn't have any plans but from the way I'm feeling today I'm pretty sure I'll be taking a trip to my doctors... We dropped from 100* on Saturday to 54* last night and only 70* yesterday... I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it or not but my pain levels are out of sight...

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and even with the pain I am enjoying the cooler temps... Hope everyone else is too!!!!

I'll be praying,
Carol

I found a Neuro. who is head of the local MS Center. She accepts my ins. but not the actual plan I have so my week will be trying to juggle ins. and hopefully an appt. I hear she is good and if I do in fact have MS she will find it or at least hopefully find whatever is going on. And Friday is my apt. at the sleep center. Yucky! lol

The wellness classes resume this week and I'm signed up for two again.  Tai Chi will be great, but the floor work in the body sculpting (light weights) class worries me because getting off the floor is taking too much energy these days.   LOL

Saturday is the first session of our MS swim group for the new school year.  I am excited to get it started again. We had about 20 regulars during the sumer and I hope it continues to grow.

Well I was suppose to be leaving tomorrow for OR to see my brother, but.....

I woke up this morning to the sound of water dripping on my pillow. It must have taken me a good five minutes or so to figure out what the sound was and then only when I saw the water hitting my pillow did it set in that was what I was hearing.

So now once this rain ends, if it ever will, I get to start re-roofing my house. The shingles have need to be replaced since I first bought it but I guess it can't be put off any longer.

Adjusting to the empty nest.

Ketamine on Wednesday! Yes!

Research and mull over the thought of a permanent placed pain pump filled Prialt. Waiting on my MS neuro to get back to me after the holiday for his input.

My daughter has a couple of volleyball games this week - I am looking forward to the distraction they bring me.

I start Avonex on Friday.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Ren, would that pump force you to no longer do MRIs to track your disease progress?

tammy and jorsbid - All the sports events are certainly a great distraction, if you can sit on those hard bleachers.  :-)

Dennis, so sorry to hear about the leaking roof.  Does this mean you won't go or the trip is just delayed?  It would be a beautiful time to go cross country in a car.  Was your friend going with you or was it a solo trip?

Since I'll have to remove and then re-shingle about 2000 Sq Ft of roof by myself I'm sure that it will take me months to recover from the work. As such the trip will be off until next year some time. That is assuming I survive the job. :) The only good new is that the weather has cooled down quite a bit ( high of 61 today ) so that I could stand being outside.

The trip was going to be solo so that I could take my time sightseeing, Maybe next spring will turn out better for that. :)
