night time incontinence

night time incontinence

For the second time I woke up and found I had lost bladder control.  This time it was a flood.

how common is this?  If that spinal tap comes back clean I won't know what to think.  Since I have been off of the Betaseron I have had some symptoms reappear.  I know DMD's are not supposed to take care of symptoms but the Beta helped me.

I am so frustrated!  I am going to Wal Mart to buy a water proof pad for my bed.

Is there anything else that can cause this?  A pinched nerve?  I have had low back pain but this has just started.

I am not in menopause so I doubt that is the problem.  Any thoughts?

LA dx'd 2008 but now not sure

This has happened to me once before. I woke up and realized I was releasing urine in little spurts all over myself & my bed. I can only guess there was some sort of muscle spasm going on down there.

I do know exactly how scary/frustrating/embarrassing/confusing this is. It was a real eye-opener and a literal wake-up call that there was something serious going on with my body.

I was soaked.  I know I did not wake up while I was going because the wet blankets were cold.

Hi LA

I'm not dx yet, I'm going through all the tests right now.  One of the problems I've been having is bladder.  There have been times when my bladder just let loose like that, right before I could make it to the toilet.  I get this constant leakage, sometimes a little more than leakage, and I never feel it coming out.

Then there are times when it feels like something is coming out, but there is nothing happening. I just  left a post  about my sx, and I get the numb feeling, burning, tingling, pressure, urgency, ete.  I was told by my urologist, that it's not my bladder, it's neurological.  I just started taking Vesicare.

I getcha, there are times when my bladder is so whacky all day, that I'll bring a change with me just in case.  Are you dx?  Maybe you're having a flare.  I feel so bad that you're having such a rough time.  Let us know what comes of all this, and what the Docs say.  Take care huh.   Hugs

Hi Sandie,
Sorry you are having these same issues.  I am dx'd.  Well, MS doctor dx'd me then retired.

New doctor decided to undx me after 3 visits.  I have been off of my Betaseron for 3 months now.

This is the second time I have had bladder issues while I was asleep.  The first time was minor but eye opening.

This time was major and very upsetting.  I was never a bed wetter even as a child.  So this is ridiculous.

I am waiting on my LP results.  We will see.

Hope you get answers soon.
