oligo band question

Does anyone know what it means if you have just one oligo band in the CSF, none in the serum.  I know you need two
or more for MS diagnosis.  I have innumerable brain lesions and still in limbo land.

I was wondering if anyone else had just one band.  I haven't been back to neuro yet, have to finish other testing.

I had zero oglio bands in my CSF and a very slight elevation in the IGg levels. After much testing and every else was ruled out, I received my diagnosis of MS. It took a while aince MS is a diagnosis of exclusion.

Hi and welcome back,

From what i understand, 1 Oband is considered to be normal, so i would say your LP did not offer anything informative and could be added towards a possible diagnosis.

Cheers........JJ
