thumb twitching starting again, anybody else get this

I had this for 3 months straight and then it stopped.  It's been close to 4 months later, and just last night it started again. It just happened and that is why I am questioning if thumb twitching is something anyone experiences.
It is such a weird feeling.

thanks Pam

Ohh, ok, .. It is misleading, I never had that for a long period of time, just alittle patch above my left knee during a shower and short time after that. I do get the prickly feeling alot in my feet , and a couple of times in my hands.
I basically chalk it up to me sitting on them alot or even when I am squatting.

Sorry this post went from twitching thumb to vibrations and numbness, but my sensations started to change and since I already had a post going, I didnt want to hog the board to ask another.
I should have just posted "Nerves Gone Wild" LOL

Thank you so much for checking back and answering my questions.

Numbness from pressure on a nerve is perfectly normal.

When it's caused by nerve damage, I think calling it numbness is misleading - it's a lack of sensation.  These areas are sometimes completely numb, and I can feel nothing, or they're a little numb, and I can pick up 'gross' sensation - sharp edges and painful lumps.  When I'm feeling good (in remission) I have 50% sensation in my fingers.  My knees are always numb, as well as most of my right foot.  When I'm feeling bad, I lose almost all sensation in my right hand.

I am starting to get a little frustrated, because for 2 days I have had constant vibrations/buzzing throughout my legs. I am not in pain from that and I know there really is nothing I can do about it, but as i sit here and typing, I feel like I am sitting on my cat while she's purring and my cell phone is going off like crazy.
What in the world is this from??
Nerves gone wild!!

Jen, when people describe numbness, does it happen for a short time, and anytime there is pressure on a nerve?  Or, is it just considered when it stays numb for hours to days??

I've stopped keeping track!  But numbness, spasms, and paresthesia seem to follow the same pattern.

Thanks guys. I have also had twitching in the bottom of my left foot exactly where I get the vibration, twitching in my left side of my stomach and twitching in the left shoulder blade area. So I get twitching a buzzing on my left and most of my pain is on the right.

I never put it all together like that. Does all of that sound familiar too?

I have had the twitching in my left eye (but I haven't had it in a few months now ....but since I mentioned it, it will start up again )

I have also had twitching - spasms - in my left pectoral muscle that affects my left shoulder as well.  Had that for a few months - but this has also been better lately.

NO thumbs though.

I have twitching in several places - mostly my face, although my thumb has gone off too.

Not my thumb, but I have a lower right eyelid that likes to get into a twitching fit for a week or so every 4-8 weeks.  Bugs the living cr_p out of me. Neuro say blame one of the lesions.  So CN2 was the ON, CN5 was the TN, CN7 is the twitching.  Looks like I'm going to run through my cranial nerves one at a time I guess.
