I found a new Dr. today, she is very nice and I like her. She is going to help me get off the methodone too.
She sending for all of my records and she brought my thyroid again. And it got me thinking about how nice it would be if it was just my thyroid...they put me on meds, increased my dosage once and i saw no change at all. Then they just dropped it and i am sill where they left off. UCSF on my last tests told me that my thyroid level was very low. But that was it. Now my new Dr is on it again, while I still go for my next tests for MS next week.
Hi Meg, If you're going nuts can I come along too?
Its good to hear you have a doctor you like who wants to work with you. That makes all the difference in the world to our attitude. Hang in there - you have so much going on at one time but you can handle it all.
I have thyroid problems and that littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys gland can cause all sorts of problems. I sure hope that that's the problem, because it is easily correctable. It does take time before you'll notice a difference. It took my several months, maybe even a year, before I noticed that my hair stopped falling out and the joint pain to disappear. Hang in there! I would read about drug interactions, including vitamins, and thyroid replacement. Certain vitamins bind with the hormone pills and render them less effectiveEffective strength cough syrup.
Deb61 is right. Calcium, in particular, can effect how your hormone pills are absorbed. And it takes 4-6 weeks for replacement hormones to be fully in effect, let alone how long it takes to reverse all the problems that it has caused. I had my thyroid removed and am hypothyroidHypothyroidism Hypothyroidism - primary Hypothyroidism - secondary Neonatal hypothyroidism Primary and secondary hypothyroidism and must remain that way, due to having thyroid cancer and avoiding it recurring. Yes, the thyroid can cause a lot of problems that most people don't even realize, including exaggerating pain and causing other organsOrgan-1 nr to not work properly, or at least to their full potential. What symptoms are you having that she's attributing to your thyroid?
I am already on meds for maybe over a yr now, but after the initial meds they didnt check it anymore even though i told them nothing was changing. Even if it takes awhile, i have just been getting worse but then there is the MS they are still testing me for.
