trigeminal neuralgia

ELT
Hey,
my face is going into its distracting pain level.  My teeth feel like they need root canals and my gums feel infected, my lips and tongue must have shingles, or herpes. lol My jaw feels like its been punched til its stiff, achy and shooting pain, non cooperative too.  And my eyelid wont stop twitching.  If i scratched my face like it wanted me too, id look like the cats scratching pad, and if i have to squint much more to read im gonna scream.  AAAAArrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhh
there, i did anyways.lol   just venting

I had that a few years ago, and went to the dentist and told him to pull all my teeth out - the pain was terrible - it finally went away on it's own, but my god does it hurt.  I'm with you on this one - keep on with the painkillers and if they don't work ask your neuro for something stronger.

I am soooo sorry to hear that you are going through this my fellow Canadian!  I hope that this does not continue for you for long...can solumedrol help with this?

I have been diagnosed with Paratrigeminal Neuralgia and so far (knock on wood) my pain does not compare to yours (although having an icepick stuck in your head isn't really all that much fun either)!

I wish there was something that I could do to help but I am out west in Alberta so even if there was you would have a bit of wait for me to get there...tee hee.

I am glad that you came here to vent and please let us know how you are doing and if things improve for you ok?  I will be waiting to hear from you!
