I recently had this done as well as a cystoscopy.(where they look inside your bladder)
I didn't find either one painful, just a little uncomfortable. I was unable to pee, even though my bladder felt sooooo full. So, that made my test inconclusive. So, I would make sure you really allow them to fill you badder full, so you can pee while all the electodes and catheters are in place.
Good Luck,
Daisy

I did a post on my experience at http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Multiple-Sclerosis/Urodynamic-testing-results/show/1717488, which might be helpful

I found it somewhat painful, but the uro did later say that I have a small opening to my urethra so maybe that made it worse. People's experiences do seem to vary.

They told me something was wrong on the day (which I already knew), but I didn't get the full scoop until my follow up with the urologist. They had already scheduled the follow up appt at the same time they scheduled the test. I think someone could read the test results right then and there, but in may case the test was done by a tech and I had to wait for my appt with the doctor.

Good luck!
