waking up, but my arms and legs don't????

Just wondering who out there wakes up in the morning but your arms and legs are still totally asleep. It's just gotten worse over the last couple of days. It seems to take several minutes to just get them to "usable". Although, the numbness and prickles hangs on and off all day long.

I'd say I've had that in my arm for the past ten years or so.  Left is much worse than right and it doesn't seem to matter whether I sleep on my back, front or side.  They thought I blew out a disk in my neck.  Turns out I did, on my right side.  Docs have no idea.  I did have an EMG/NCS of the left arm, and it was positive for medial nerve impingement at the wrist (carpal tunnel,) but it was normal for everything else including the nerve root. Doesn't seem vascular, so they think it is CNS based.

It is the symptom that started me seeing an ortho doc, that ordered the EMG and in the testing process, I got hit with ON in the right eye.

Yes and I would call my neuro....like today.  During my worse attack it would take ten or more minutes before I could move...although it didn't hang on all day like yours.  You may need steroid treatment due to the swelling.  JMO
