Well, the cystocele surgery did not work, and the new dr. says, he wants to wait until it falls out more. The rectocele did not work either, and I am waiting to talk to another surgeon on that one. Got back yesterday from my plastic surgeon, the original one that saw me before her maternity leave, then her locome did my surgery 4 months ago. Well, upon checking, she said that my surgery is and was a huge debacle . She is re-doing it in May, she wants to make sure that the blood supply has finished healing. So, here we go again, and now people will understand why I don`t like Dr`s very much.
My bladder infection does not seemed to have been cleared up by 3 doses of fosformycin (Monural) , so probably will be going to the IV hospital for antibiotics. I`m not feeling to cheerful just now.
Can anything else go wrong............... I wonder ...
On a better note, I have been taking Avonex for 2 months now, and it seems to be ok compared to the Copaxone, but, I have way more activity on my left side now, and this is all new. It always has been my right , but told my phyciatrist about all of this, and he noted it, and will be sending it on to my Neuro, which I have NO idea when I will see next.
Wow! Candy, I'm so sorry to hear this. It sounds like you may need to be hospitalized to deal with this infection at some point. How is the rest of your system holding up, with the infection, surgeries, and all the antibiotics?
I'm glad the Avonex is working better for you. Are you using the kind you have to mix?
I was wondering if the infectious diseases doc could help you try & get rid of this infection. I know when I had sepsis from Neutropenia they had me on 2 IV's & 2 oral Antibiotics. These were highly specialised antibiotics that a GP can't prescribe but surely they need to think outside the box here with you.
If these current antibiotics are not getting rid of your UTI then they should not be giving them to you.....rather they should look at an alternative treatment. I feel for you because I just don't see the docs are sitting down & nutting this out. I will send you a PM soon.
you guys are so great, and Ren, it is so lovely to have you back. Thanks to you all for your thoughts and prayers, hoping I will find out something this week, my sample goes to the lab tomorrow, and Thurs, they will have results, so will have to wait until then , and see what they say and do.
I had to look up those terms. Frankly, if the cystocele and rectocele are not properly repaired, it would make perfect sense to me that you would suffer chronic and severe infections. So very sorry to hear all of this, for your sake! Yes, I can understand why you're not fond of doctors, but surely there's one out there who can see past the end of his reports screen, and take a look at the big picture! Doubling down on our pledge to pray in that direction.
to Dan, it is a Doctor that takes your place when you aren't there, she apparently picked the Dr. to cover her for 4 months, and he blew it for me. So, she says she can fix what a mess he did, so that is why I have to go for another surgery ...
thanks for adding me to your prayer list, much appreciated .... :)
