twins with one having a small stomach

My sister in law is 33 wks pregnant with twins.  She had an ultrasound done and the doctor said that the last couple of ultrasounds shows  that baby a's stomach is getting smaller.  What could this mean?

If the smaller stomach is an isolated finding, there could be nothing wrong since the amount of fluid a baby has in the stomach can vary from ultrasound to ultrasound.   Obstruction of the esophagus or gastrointestinal tract is often associated with other findings such as increased amniotic fluid or other anatomic abnormalities.

Your sister-in-law can ask her doctor whether there were any other findings on the ultrasounds that were concerning.
