Dear Friend,
In simple sense, you need to visit an orthopaedician who specializes in spine or a good neurosurgeon with spine specialty. Neurologist would do all tests / examinations. Also a good physiotherapist will help you to strengthen up the back muscles, once the pain is controlled.
Presently the treatment should be aimed to control the pain only... and nothing else.
Once the pain  is controlled, then we can start physiotherapy.

The reason is --- wear and tear of the bones of the spine.... causing disc problems.

Regards..
