Unequal Pupil and Nystagmus

I recently have been having problems with my left eye drifting, dilated larger then the right..shape is oblong..sort of like a cat eye.    My pupil still reacts to light.   I have been decompressed for Arnold Chiari Malformation in 1999.  Been having also numbness in my neck area.. front and back.. typical cape sensation with feeling some problems with swallowing.  These are the same symptoms that caused me to have surgery in the past.   Can symptoms re-appear?  Even after I was treated for this condition a different neurosurgeon thought I didn't have chiari.  My films said Chiari 6 mm herniation.  After surgery symptoms got better... Been stable for years up to now.   Not all medical specialist agree on Chiari diagnoses and treatment.  This makes it frustrating being a patient with this condition.

Thanks, Ann

Dear Friend,
I really apologise for a dealyed response.
It's really confusing, when we get a varied responses from the surgeons (whether the condition is present or not).
Well if your present condition seems to be deterioariting, then what is stopping us from doing a Re-MRI scan. We should be able to understand as is brain the casue of this or it's related to the Nerves of the eyes.
As far as your specific question - Can it re-appear...... Well very remote chances of symptoms re-appearing as the medical science is all about exceptions.
Please discusss further..
