hi im trying to understand my emg results here it is left mediun motor nerve showed prolonged distal onset latency and decreased conduction velocity,peroneal nerve showed reduced amplitude, ulnar seg motor showed decreased amplitude, and decreased conduction velocity. the dorscutan anti sensory and left antebrach cut anti sensory nerve showed prolonged distal peak latency . the left mediun d2 anti sensory nerve showed prolonged distal peak latency and decreased conduction velocity(wrist 2nd digit) left ulnar anti sensory nerve showed prolong distal peak latency and decreased conduction velocity(wrist 5th digit) then left ulnar f wave has prolonged latency
left tibial h reflex has prolonged latency
the left c5 c6 parsap showed increased insertional activity the left recfernoris and left l5 s1 parsap showed increased insertional activity and slightly increased spontaneous activity

my neuro stated that this report shows ulnar nerve neuropathy at the wrist
conduction evidence for carpel tunnel evidence of l4 greater then l5 radiculopathy and lastly prolongation of the left antebrachial cutaneous snap cannot exclude a brachiel plexopathy

could this be due at least the lower part to a bulging disc at l4 l5. and what would cause some of these mechanical obstructions of nerves

Dear Elbar,
This nerve study shows some mechanical obstruction in the nerve's speed to conduct the impulse. Nerve of your leg and hands are involved. It may cause weakness and numbness or paresthesia.
Hence would advice you to have a good consultation with your treating neurologist (ie who has ordered for this study).
The advice of the treating doctor is important as he needs to clinically co-relate it with your symptomatic findings.
