SYRINX FROM T4 TO L1 NEED SURGEON NAME

SYRINX FROM T4 TO L1 NEED SURGEON NAME

Syrinx in my cervical spine & a large Syrinx from T4 to L1. 5 yrs I have been experiencing excruciating leg bone pain, upon PET scan, after biopsy, diagnosed w/lymphatic Sarcoidosis, also getting tested for neuro sarcoid (@Hopkins) along w/very strong initial testing of Sjogren's, also getting lip biopsy @ Hopkins.  So, I have lymphatic sarcoidosis (no Lung involvement).I am  falling, unable to do normal daily functions due to EXTREME exhaustion, weakness, leg pain.  My leg will go out w/out warning.  Mainly left side.  I have peripheral neuropathy. I am a 44 yr old female, had scoliosis fusion @ age 14, NO herrington rod.  I have complained of my spinal cord hurting the last 6 mos. & migraines (last for days) ringing ears. MRI w/gad. contrast revealed small cervical syrinx & a LARGE SYRINX T4 TO L1 w/ herniated discs @ L2, L3, L4, L5 S1, AND BULGING DISCS L4 , L5.  I NEED TO FIND A SURGEON TO GET ADVICE ON WHETHER TO HAVE SURGERY OR NOT. Obviously this is progressing, the T4 to L1 was not on an MRI in 2006, along w/ progressing symptoms, I feel it is growing & or damaging nerves fairly quickly.  What can I expect? Paralysis without surgery? Paralysis with Surgery?? Will the syrinx rtn after surgery? DOES THE CYST CONTINUE TO GROW AFTER A SHUNT?  Need name of a very GREAT Neuro spinal cord surgeon. WILL GO ANYWHERE. I live in the Washington Metropolitan area, 1 hr from Hopkins, 20 min. from NIH.  I kept telling them I can feel that my spinal cord is sore. Arm & hand pain. Leg pain, Intercourse is excruciating, I also have bladder problems (thought to be Interstitial cystitis).  Any names and information would be very helpful. They are also looking at the possibility of MS.  I have not had an LP as of yet. They are also looking for MS. I am a Type A personality, I hate this couch, please help.  Need name of great Surgeon. Also, will Syrinx come back after surgery?  Thank you, SSSS (syrinx, scoliosis, sarcoid, sjogren's)

My dear friend Jillsey,
I must appreciate that you are a very brave and strong woman.
There are just too many findings in your case.It was really good to know that you are ready for the cure at all extend.
I will not be able to provide you a satisfactory answer until i examine you physically as well as see those investigation reports. But i stay in a different country, hence it's not possible. But i can surely guide you about the good surgeons.
You can have opinion for either a Neurosurgeon or Orthopaedicians who major in Spine Surgeries. The details of all these you can find in the following website (www.ejbjs.org). This is an Orthopaedic Journal where various orthopaedician have their articles. Also you can visit official website of www.aospine.org, which contains the list of all the great surgeons.
Feel free to ask more clarifications.
Regards
