Storke - Intracerebral hemorrhage

Storke - Intracerebral hemorrhage

My uncle, 57, had a stroke on 27th Sept . He was complaining of severe headache & neck pain. CT Scan showed cerebral hemorrhage. His Systolic was 212 on admission. He was operated 7 hours later.  Had EVD & was on ventilator. On 29th he was taken off the ventilator & was moved out of the ICU (lack of beds). He was responsive & alert, recognized everyone & was eating & talking. He had weakness of the right limbs. However, he was delusional & was hallucinating saying things like, "Bring my hard disk" or "I've sent a print out" etc. He thought the ceiling lights were a TV set & wanted to change the channel.
On 3rd Oct, he had two episodes of high BP, both reaching to 250 Systolic. He was given an infusion of Labetalol, &  BP was brought down to 150. For the next two days, he was still delusional. On 5th, he was febrile 38.5C & given antibiotics. On 6th (today) his breathing was labored & he was moved back into ICU, sedated & ventilated.
Doctor says that he is not too worried about the infection as he is being given Meropenem.
How ever he is worried about the EVD. He says that 220 ml of CSF is being drained per day for the last 3-4 days and has to be reduced to 50 ml per day in order to remove the EVD.
It's been 10 days. I've read that EVD should be replaced after 10 days but I haven't been told about any possibility of another surgery yet.

Mildly diabetic, was on medications, Not aware of high BP .

Can drainage reduce & if 50 ml / day is the target, how long can it take to reach? Can anything be predicted?

Some vague pictures of  CT Scans:

1st CT Scan  (27th Sept)

2nd CT Scan (28th Sept)

3rd CT Scan (3rd Oct)

(The 3rd CT Scan report says, "Comparing with previous study at 27/9 our study today revealed resolving of intraventricular hemorrhage & resolving of hydrocephalic changes. Otherwise no obvious changes.” I don't have the 1st & 2nd reports with me now)

Thanks,
Tony!

Dear Friend,
I would sugest you to trust your treating doctor and not to read too much about evd. We will have to leave the things as per the treating doctor's discretion. The valu of EVD drain is too high. Dont worry, as he will really think of replacing the EVD in a day or two, depending on the drain's volume.
If stillnu have doubt, please discuss with him as why he is not planing anything for the EVD.
I hope i have cleaded your doubt
Regards
