CIDP disease cures

my wife  was just diagnosed with CIDP. There are three options for treatment. It appears that immune globulin injections would be the most effective. Does anyone have experience with this treatment. She is 64 years old and is starting to have difficulty in walking.

Sorry to hear of your wife's illness.
I too have CIDP.  I was diagnosed 10 years ago.
I got IVIG treatments for about 2 years.  They made me ill for weeks after each one but I don't think that's common.  They are considered the first line treatment as are prednisone and plasma exchange.  I didn't notice much benefit from the treatments but they may have helped me from getting worse, which has happened since I stopped getting them.  Be prepared to spend many hours at the hospital or other infusion center unless you can get your health insurance to pay for at-home infusions.
