Possible Nerve Damage or Pinched blood vessel

Possible Nerve Damage in Hand or Pinched blood vessel

I broke my right hand about 4 years ago.  The bone to the pinky finger broke and went down into the remaining bone by the wrist.  I went to the Family physician and she put a cast on it immediately instead of sending me to an orthopedic specialist so my hand started swelling and developed RSD.  I received Stellate Ganglion shots to try and get it to quit swelling. The swelling finally stopped with help from Therapy but I have had a constant burning in my wrist and my hand looks like it has very poor circulation and it never has felt right.  Could I have a pinched  blood vessel or a pinched nerve to cause this?  I also have high blood pressure since this happened and I have always been very healthy and active.

my daughter is 15 years old and she is suffering with swelling of her right hand for a few years now, the doctor says it could be a pinched blood vessal in her neck, she says that she can feel fluid going up her arm when she lifts it up while it is swelled, i dont know what to do

Thank you so much for your response.

I will make an appointment.

Since I broke my hand I have had extremely high blood pressure and I never had it before I broke my hand.  I have always been fairly active and I am 5' 8" and weigh 125 so I have really been concerned that something is really not right in my hand.

Also, my hair will not grow on the right side of my head and that is the side that I broke my hand on and that is the side that I received the Stellate Ganglion shots on.

Thanks again.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
The symptoms of pain and burning sensation may be due to both- improper blood circulation as well as pinched nerve due to the trauma to the hand. Please go for MRI of the wrist and hand and consult a neurologist and orthopaedist without delay. Prolonged loss of blood circulation may result in gangrene of the affected finger. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
