13 yr old w/ seizures

5 months ago my 12 yr old daughter had 2 teeth extracted.she passed out and had a seizure.body stiffened, her head went back, with her chin in air and the muscles in her throat were straining.she made groaning noises. her eyes rolled back but didn't completely close and her back arched. the dentist gave her oxygen and took her blood pressure which was 87/48. the seizure lasted approx. 30 seconds, maybe a bit longer. when she came out of it, she was disoriented and paranoid, trying to "escape", (how she er described it). she had a memory of being in alot of fast dreams and feeling euphoric. when she fell, she was standing.she fell back with some force, hitting her head on ceramic tile. we were told she had severe head trauma that threw her into seizure. fainting was probly due to blood loss from tooth extractions. no tests were done, a neurologist was consulted and suggested impact to head reason for seizure. next 2 days she was dizzy and had no appetite.2 days ago, she woke up, had a sudden nose bleed, then seized again. ct scan fine. waiting on eeg & ekg. help. any ideas? I think the EEG is a very good idea, however there is a strong chance it
will be normal, the events you describe sound like convulsive syncope,
this is a phenomenon in which a faint is followed by a brief convulsion.
In each situation it sounds like the fainting was the primary event
( blood loss in the first, feeling dizzy in the second one ), this type of
seiure occurrs because the blood is briefly deptived of oxygen during the
faint and is remedied by lying the person flat and restoring the blood
flow to the brain.
If she has a normal EEG I would suspect this is the root cause and you
should focus on why she tends to faint, have her blood hemoglobin
levels checked and  an EKG to outrule heart ryhthm disturbances.
