25yr old i went 2sleep 'normal' & woke up w/erratic movement n wheelchair bound

i'm posting here to try to help a friend - this young, healthy, energetic mom to a pre-schooler went to sleep one night and literally woke up to find that she couldn't control any of her movements - they were erratic to say the least - her head killed - her back screamed and she couldn't even stand by herself - she goes to the ER - test upon test (no blood work for some reason), MRI, EEG/EKG, etc... they talk about a possible stroke since one side of her body was more affected than another - they spoke of a possible seizure - nothing concrete and this was over a month ago - she went to a neurologist - nothing except 'you have a movement disorder, probably' oh and 'here's some medication, see ya later'

this girl was FINE - i'm sure you can imagine how scared and confused she must be - the doctors just don't care enough at all - they just want to keep medicating her without finding out the reason she is like this - while others are fine with telling her 'there is no cure' (even though they don't know what 'what' is)

the only odd thing she can think of was before this happened to her she had a dental appointment where she received novacain (sp) - for TWO weeks after she kept complaining she could still taste it - odd, yes - a family friend found some info of a rare case of side effect from novacain could be these erratic movements, tics - when mentioned to a doctor she is brushed off

her speech is affected - more often than not she is in a wheelchair - she is at a loss and so are we

please, anyone who has even the slightest idea or suggestion, please reply - we only want to help a friend get her life back

i appreciate anyone reading - thank u
