Since your baby is still in early gestation it is unlikely that his head has had time to become enlarged due to the hydrocephalus. Basically there is a blockage in the brain that doesn't allow the fluid around the brain to circulate properly so it builds up where it is produced, in the ventricles. As it builds up, the brain will expand and normally so will the head.
Hopefully, it is a milder case and the doctors can do a lot for you precious baby. God Bless!
I forgot, my son did have a big head when he was born. They said he was in the 90%tile, but he hasn't had any problems..again, good luck.
I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I hope and pray that things work out I can't help with the Hydrocephalus or microcephalus, but my son was born with bilateral clubbed feet. His feet were so bad the drs. use his Xrays for teaching at the Childrens Hospital he went to. I will tell you he is 12 years old now and his feet are fine. We did have to go through casting and surgeries, and his feet and calves are smaller than a "normal" 12 year old, but he is growing strong and healthy everyday! He can walk, run and keep up with everyone. Keep thinking positive and have a happy pregnancy!! I found out at 20 weeks preg. that his feet were clubbed. They wanted to test for other things, but I wouldn't let them, he was my baby and I love him no matter what. It all will work out. Good luck to you!!
I forgot to mention she might have left club foot.. Anyone been in this situation?
