32 year old female, tingling in hand/feet, extreme fatigue

I am a 32 year old female, 5'4, weigh about 160 lbs. for the last year I have had sensations of pins and needles, like my hand and feet are falling asleep, off and on. I also am EXTREMELY fatigued and have a difficult time functioning.  Initially it would hit and last a day or two with weeks or months between, now it seems to be weeks with days between.  My dad is an RN, so I discussed some of what I've been feeling with him.  He pointed out other symptoms I have that may be related, and suggested I see a neurologist.  My doctor insists they are not. She initially said I was prematurely premenopausal (just based on discussion), then said it was autoimmune (she ran a bunch of blood tests, which were normal), now says it's all from depression. I do NOT feel depressed at all, other than frustrated when I get to tired to do normal daily activities.  Can you give any advice or let me know if it really could be just "depression"?  Here are all the symptoms:
Pins & Needles in both feet, lower legs and right hand(at my last appointment I had no reflex in my right ankle, she said that didn't mean anything, occasionally foot and hand have gone numb) - aches in my right leg and elbow area, sometimes dull sometimes sharp - tremors in my hands - weakness, like my muscles are jelly - a need to nap after even the slightest activity - difficulty urinating - "foggy" headed, difficulty concentrating - Very forgetful - My jaw gets very sore and tired fast when chewing foods such as burgers.
Again, these things all tend to happen at different times, there is usually a week to a month between.  The only constant symptom is the fatigue.  Any idea if this could all be related? Should I see a neurologist or specialist?  Thank you for your help!

Same here. Started checking blood sugar and metered over 200. Found antibodies for T1DM. Doctors refuse to diagnose diabetes. I started insulin and severe symptoms went away. I am 30. I wish you all the best.

Ive had similar after years of research im convinced it is parasites, but wasnt sure what kind..More often then not will not show up in bloods (because of the hosts ability to coat itself in your antigens and the testing practice) or stools unless the infestation is bad or your lucky (parasites shed at random and testing is not always accurate or tested for the specific type of parasite, plus they exsist in places other then your intestine!) There are all types of parasites and most are super common, its just most people remain asymptomatic unless their immune system is commpromised or the investation gets bad enough. Parasites are the underlying cause of most dieases, autoimmune dieases aswell as cancer etc. If you think you have them but cant prove you have them to a doctor self treat, with herbs (ive used humaworm) and other products such as clove oil(cleaning and external), teatree oil (cleaning and external) , coconut oil (internal and externall, diatomaceous earth (cleaning
And internal) , and changed my diet. All worked with persistent use or as instructed. Until fineally years later I have a diagnosis for one type which indicates another type not often found in my country there for was not availble in testing here! Good luck to all

I too am in the same situation. I am 37, but I have had pins and needles for 3 years now, daily headaches, neck pain, extreme fatigue, chest pain, pains on each side of my head-most recently pain in both underarms...did I say extreme fatigue. I took a spinal tap, tons of mri's, etc. I have herniated disks in my neck so all the dr.s are trying to tell me this is the reason, but I know it is not. I am now on Zoloft cause of the anxiety from always feeling sick. because my arms are pins and needles for so long, they believe my nerves are damaged. I don't know what else to do. I used to make jewelry and now I cannot. I used to be happy all the time....now Im too tired. did anyone ever find out where your symptoms are from?

All of these symptoms point to b12 deficiency or pernicious anemia. I had it undiagnosed for years, told I had various other thing, fibromyalgia etc. Now I have nerve damage. Please get tested for this. It's not funny. Wishing you all much luck, a fellow sufferer x

I have had trouble with extreme fatigue since the birth of my son in 86. Then the burning sensation in my thighs started and athe abdomen tenderness and pelvic pain. Antidepressants helped much of a bandaid solution. I fought until 2005 and was diagnosed with Narcolepsy. Dexamphetamines, Modafinil proved unsatisfactory they keep me half asleep/awake 24/7. This is so frustrating really I feel like an instrument with an intermittent fault lost my job and what goes with that. I am post menopausal however I certainly wasn't 26 years ago. Like everybody here I have had more blood tests, EEG's SLMT's ECG's MRI's than you can poke a stick at. The last sleep studies revealed ... wait for it: Idiopathic hypersomnia in a word they haven't got the faintest ! Not sure where to go now, any ideas ?

I have been having similar symptoms since November. The extreme fatigue is the most troublesome. I often have nights I barely sleep at all. I often get headaches with photosensitivity and neck and joint pain. I have swelling in my hands and had to have my rings cut off. I have had a normal thyroid panel, urinalysis, and CT scan. Going to yet another doctor this week to see what they can find.

I'm 43 and have had many of the same symptoms as you off and on for 10 years (see my post of 5/11). I've been tested for thyroid (TSH) several times and always normal. I was tested for early menopause 5 years ago and my estrogen level was normal. The only tests that have been positive on a consistent basis are ESR > 20 to as high as 74 indicating infammation and ANA 1:40 homogenous, but negative for Lupus (SLE) or Sjogren's. I also have elevated cholesterol of 240-275. My blood sugars are normal. Rheumatoid factor normal.

Due to increased fatigue, blurry vision, problems adjusting focus and primarly electric shock sensations and weakness in my limbs for the past month, I am undergoing tests to include brain MRI, bone scan ( I have very tender ribs and sternum) and am scheduled to then see s neurologist.

I mentioned Fibromyalgia to my MD and she said she won't give that diagnosis yet since I do have some findings.

I can see from other postings that there are many of us that are frustrated, been told it may just be depression or anxiety and are still without answers. If you continue feeling bad, keep seeking answers. Doctors are practicing medicine and you often need to find the right one to diagnose the problem and treat it.

Hello, Have you been tested for thyroid problems. Many females have them. Hypothyroid can cause the symptoms you are experiencing I would recommend TSH level as well as a free-t4 level. Like I said low thyroid can cause all of your symptoms as well as menstrual issues, I assumed you are having this to because of the early menopause comment by your doctor. If these test come back negative I would suggest you see another neurologist an MRI can rule out a lot of things such as MS. I hope this helps, please don'nt let them tell you its just depression, you know something is not right so seek help, bug them untill you get answers:)
