5 year old jerking

My daughter is 5 and I just read an article on this website about a similar story.  My daughter has always jerked alot in her sleep.  It is causing her to be delayed a bit in school.  We had a sleep study and met with a neurologist.  All agree it's not seizures but Non-Rem Parasomnias or basically a bad case of Restless Leg.  We've tried Lorazapan and Neurontin.  Both make her sleepy during the day.  I am searching for the cause so we can treat that instead of treating the symptoms.  I tried calcium and that completely did the trick for about 1 month.  Now I'm trying calcium and iron.  Her iron was just a bit low but figured it was worth a try.  What else could be causing this?  Allergies? Hypoglycemia?  Any suggestions you have would be wonderful.  Thanks you! Katie Marr

Magnesium might be worth a try. It balances calcium and relaxes muscles, where calcium contracts them.
