A Fib

A Fib

Is there any connection between the brain and Atrial fibrillation?  I am wondering if a neurologist could be helpful in determining the cause of my repeated problems with arrhythmias - particularly A-Fib.

I doubt if a neuro could help you.  A-fib is usually directly related to the heart.  Most times no cause can be found.  It's a conduction problem in the heart.  Sometimes it is caused by a diseased heart valve or coronary artery disease.  The only heart-brain connection would be a stroke related to clot formation in the heart as far as I  know.  Have you had a complete cardiac work up with stress test, echocardiogram etc.....?
