A pressure pain

I have what I can only describe as being a pressure pain behind my right ear and in the back of my head and part of my neck, it's like someone is pushing very hard in these places, I have to lie down and support my head and neck at it's worst with pillows. It's a constant pain when it comes, and can make me quite tearful. It lasts for either a matter of hours or days, it's now on day 3 of it's comeback.. I was wondering, does anyone have any ideas what it is? And is it anything to be concerned about?

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include primary headaches, infections or inflammations related to the head and neck region, vascular/ related causes, growths/ masses etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or a neurologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
